NEWS 28 - Former Mesa Governor Kirk Paul is now in the fight of his life as he fights to survive injuries he sustained during an early morning shooting very early this morning. The former Governor was at his private hotel room when the shooter gained entry and shot Paul point blank in the chest.

ALDEN - Former and embattled Governor, Kirk Paul early this afternoon made a surprise announcement, while speaking to Media School students, Kirk Paul announced that he would be returning to politics in early 2026. During a speech to students at the University of Arts and Digital Media, he expressed how his career in digital media led to his political career choice.
RUFUS - Parker Jackson has won the Republican nomination, just days ahead of the expected announcement of a nominee from the party. Jackson is seeking election to the Governor's Office after he failed to win during the 2022 Gubernatorial Elections. ALDEN - Former Mesa Governor Kirk Paul has announced that he has officially retired from politics to focus on his Alden Prime Time hosting gig and to focus on other special interests. The ex-Governor says that it was time for him to move on. Kirk Paul, who served as the 19th Governor Of Mesa from November 20, 2021 until his resignation on May 9, 2023, fought to the bitter end to save his career. His defaming anti-trans legislation, harmful policies on LGBTQ+ healthcare and access to schooling also led to the collapse of his political career. While he tried to save his career, many pro-trans supporters continued their calls for him to resign. RUFUS - A federal judge early this morning issued a cease all outside contact order after a bomb was detonated at the Mansion of Mesa's Governor. The device destroyed a major portion of the Governor's mansion and killed 2 office workers inside including State Press Secretary Leann McAfy.
"In response to the bombing early this morning, at the Mesa Governor's Mansion, I will be signing a No Outside Contact Order, which is effective indefinitely," said Judge Bradin Roswell. "This order means that Mr. Ronaldson has lossed all privledges to contact any outside individual, television broadcast and any computer or web access and also includes mail and any packages effective immediately and effective indefinitely." The call comes a day after Federal Investigators asked for a No Outside Contact Order to be signed yesterday. Investigators say this will prevent correspondence to Ronaldson's bombing team. RUFUS - President McCallum says he will be addressing the nation in response to recent bombings that have occurred. Over the course of the next few hours, plans for him to address the nation will be done at the President's Office at 12:30 PM.
