RUFUS - Vice President Richard Banks is currently under investigation for sexual misconduct and making inapropriate comments, to female staffers at the Nationalist House. During a meeting in North Lorray, a staffer also accused Banks of unwanted touching, which she indicated to him she was very uncomfortable with. She asked him to stop the advances to which he declined through non-verbal means. "The investigation will be conducted in a semi-public manner, but much of the investigation will be done behind closed doors as it involves the Vice President Of The United States Of Jesstopia."
The investigation is being conducted by Federal Crimes Investigation Service and the New Shire Attorney Generals office and if grounds for charges to be filed are found, Banks risks being impeached and removed from his post as Jesstopia's 2nd Vice President. If found guilty, he could also be forcibly removed by President John McCallum. President McCallum is expected to address the nation about the investigation into the allegations, but says until the briefing, nothing more would be said. "I think we'll just wait to see what the investigation uncovers, and wait until a address the nation on the recent announcement of the investigation," said President McCallum. "Nothing more will be said about the investigation as it unfolds or until I make my address to the nation."
