Gretchen LeWolf Sworn In As 32nd House Speaker

RUFUS - At 10 this morning, then-Deputy House Speaker was sworn in as the 32nd House Speaker of the Jesstopian House Of The People after winning the election on September 24, 2022. LeWolf had served as the House's Deputy Speaker since November 10, 2019. 

LeWolf will serve a full three year term which is scheduled to expire on November 10, 2025. She will hold her first joint session of Congress on January 1, 2023, and will address several issues facing Jesstopia, before President McCallum delivers his 2023 State Of The Union address. She will also initiate the 2023 Representative and Senatorial elections which will seek to reseat over 15 seats and is seeking to flip the house in favor of the Republicans. While highly unlikely, the stakes will be much more during the 2023 Elections, which will be held in November and March. 

LeWolf is the 5th Female to serve as the Speaker Of The House Of The People, following after Karen Mickey, who served as House Speaker before being booted by Nationalist Party Representative, Braden Harris. LeWolf has announced that she will ensure the House Chamber remains a safe haven of decisions, ideas and and proposals. She also announced that she will, and with her sole authority will change the way debates are done. She hasn't specified how so, but she says it will come.

Braden Harris has returned to his role as a Representative. He continues to represent New Shire's 8th District. He will continue in this role until he is either removed through election or resigns to focus on his 2024 Presidential Campaign.
