The President who will leave office on November 16, gave the SOTU speech which started late. But as the speech got underway, the undertone of the speech was not like previous State of the Union's he'd given the last three years. He focused heavily on the work of his administration, and the over goals set throughout his presidency. He focused more so on accomplishments and work he hopes to do before he leaves the Nationalist House.
He discussed his plans to address the economic recession that is rearing its head as the he works to choke inflation. The very inflation that he is attempting to reduce is also what is causing major economic woes for Jesstopia. Jesstopia's GDP is strong, with the inflation being likely the result of the war in Ukraine and Israel, a heavy importer of Jesstopia's oils, which is heavily effecting the economy here at home. He explained that inflation would need to be addressed by Congress so that they could artificially lower the inflation rate. Secondly he discussed his plans to increase federal funding on school and education infrastructure, building more schools to educate Jesstopia's children, who aren't currently accessing school resources due to where they live, their economic status or other factors. He says that building more schools is essential to building a stronger future for the United States Of Jesstopia. He finally closed out his final SOTU thanking the both Representatives and Senators for their support and work during the last 3 years of his Presidency which was well received by both Nationalists and Republicans alike who stood up to applaud the President. He left Congress for the last time as President. He is expected to attend the inauguration of the winner of the 2024 Presidential Elections.
