President McCallum Diagnosed With Stage I Bone Cancer

RUFUS - President McCallum announced yesterday that he has been diagnosed with First Stage Bone Cancer, the cancer that killed his father Trevor McCallum in 1985. He will under go Chemotherapy starting next week and Vice President Richard Banks will act as President during his treatments.

"As perscibed by the Jesstopian Constitution, when the President is ill or incapacitated, the Vice President shall take over as the acting President in a temporary or permanent capacity." said Political commentator Rich Randal. "This means that Vice President Banks will become acting President in any capacity in which President McCallum will be unable to serve, including his Chemo treatments."

Vice President Banks has yet to make any comments regarding him assuming the role of President temporarily. His press secretary has also yet to make an official statement.
