NEWS 28 - President McCallum early this morning signed 8 bills that will extend the 2024 Federal Budget and funding into August 2024. The extension comes as the federal Government proposed that it would run out of money by June. This is the first time in the history of the Jesstopian Government that this has happened. The extension comes just months shy of the proposed date that the government says that it would run out of money. House Speaker Gretchen LeWolf called President McCallum and urged him to sign the bills, which would extend funding to the Nationalist House poll that is expected to be started next month and will also extend funding for the Department of Defense, Department Of Justice, The Jesstopian Aviation Safety Administration, and the Jesstopian Airport Safety Administration.
The funding package extension could again be extended if Congress says that it is necessary. President McCallum would be likely to sign onto the legislation. The House and Senate agreed to a 5.6 trillion dollar funding extension, furthering the divide between Jesstopian citizens struggling to make ends meet. "This legislation will extend the Federal spending budget well into August. The spending is instrumental to border security, federal programs and pay to federal employees," said House Speaker Gretchen LeWolf. "The Federal budget is an important part of Jesstopia's government and its functioning. Without, all programs, departments and services would cease to function without the adequate funding."
