RUFUS - President McCallum says he will be addressing the nation in response to recent bombings that have occurred. Over the course of the next few hours, plans for him to address the nation will be done at the President's Office at 12:30 PM.
President McCallum is expected to address the nation more than a week after the Nationalist House bombing which caused severe damage, a bombing at a Product Mart store that killed 9 people and today's bombing at the Mesa Governor's Mansion which claimed the lives of 2 office works.
"As a nation, as people, we lost 11 great lives over the course of less than 4 days," said President McCallum. "It is time that Congress takes aggressive action against these acts, by instituting more policies, authorizing a border shutdown and official lockdown of the National borders."
President McCallum also says that he plans on visiting North Lorray and Mesa to address the bombings. Presidential Protective Service agents say that they will begin heading to both sites in Preparation for the President, but failed to mention if a city-wide lockdown would be authorized.
"President McCallum and Vice President are scheduled to meet at separate times at both sites, but President McCallum would meet privately with the families of the victims who were killed in the bombings," said Press Secretary Lynn Rodgers. "Vice President will address the victims publicly and will give a separate speech for both sites."
An emotional Banks says that he doesn't understand why such a great Nation is experiencing these acts now, in a time where the United States Of Jesstopia remains in a sensitive position, with the war with Russia raging on increased attacks on Ukraine. He also says the new variant of COVID's omicron variant is continuing to kill thousands of Jesstopian Citizens.
"Our goal as a nation is to provide citizens with health, safety, and economic opportunity," said Vice President Banks. "As the recent events in our nation, we are working to ensure that safety remains a constant, and that Mr. Ronaldson is locked away for the rest of his living years. It is time that we take back our country."
As for when Banks will be in Nox City and Alden, Press Secretary Lynn Rodgers says that she is unsure of when that will be. Presidential Protective Service Agents will remain in both States awaiting the arrival of both President McCallum and Vice President Banks.
